In case of doubt...

In case some of you are still having doubts if it is necessary to support Granada's street kids...
YES! It is necessary!

This morning Alexander and Ernesto showed up. Both were ever so hungry.
They asked for 10 Cordoba to by some nylon, a lead weight and a fishing hook.
Both are weak from not eating (right). People who used to give, don't have anything to give any more. I suppose the financial disaster that originated in the States is having it's effect on the most vulnerable of them all.
Where are all the tourists that used to roam around Granada, enjoying it's colonial beauty?
These were the ones that made the economy move. Everything came to a halt now. The greed of some stock brokers has done a lot of harm to every one.
And it'll probably take a while before things get back to normal.

Yesterday, when I went to the market to Doña Esperanza to buy hot meals for the street kids, Fliki told me: I hope it will be Saturday again soon. That's the only day of the week that we get something decent to eat. It broke my heart.

On top of that, I can only buy food for 10 lucky ones. Of course it is impossible to help everybody, and at least the Lucky Ten have a good meal once in a while.
For the moment the only help that is coming in comes from Anki, from Sweden. Thank you Anki!

So YES... every initiative is helpful. Every dollar is welcome.

I hope that Alexander and Francisco have luck catching some fish in the lake.

Francisco & Alexander showed proudly the three little fishes they caught.

I don't know the kind... they seemed to have a long mustache!
Anyway...

They caught the fish, so they had a super nice meal with extremely fresh fish...
