h, people feel like they have to punish or exploit them even more.On the picture left and right, you can see Marvin carry bags on the market. Rice, beans and corn. 300 pounds of it on his shoulders, compressing his spine.
And after a long day of going back and forth, packed like a mule they give him C$20 which is 1 US dollar! Disgusting, but when you are hungry, what can you do...!
On the picture below, you see Little Tamara. Her dad sells plantains on the market, right across from where Marvin works. She sits all day, until the market closes, in a box that is normally used to sell vegetables. Such is life in the tropics!
