Juan Carlos's Business...

Juan Carlos dropped by yesterday, asking if I would buy him a box of chewing gum.
He wanted to start his own "negocio" or business.
It costs C$ 30 ($1.50).
We discussed his plans, and he promised he would sell them all and return me the C$30.
One box holds 100 pieces, and he sells each for C$1.
So if he would sell them all, he would make C$70 (or $3.50).
I never expected to see the little investment back.
But this morning he knocked on the door holding C$30 in his hand!
In his other hand he held the rest of the money he made... HIS money!
He asked me to keep the C$40 until later while he went to buy & sell his second batch.
Late in the evening he almost sold them all.
It didn't even occur to him that from the second batch he doesn't need to give me anything.
The C$70 is pure profit... I made sure he understood that he always needs to keep C$30 aside to buy the next box.
C$70 is what most workers make in a full day...
He was very proud and he shook my hand saying: "Now we're both hombres de negocio"
Now we're both business men! And he's right!!
