Another trip to the HAC in Managua...

Eynar, Jose Angel's older brother, and myself went to the Center in Managua where Jose Angel has been staying for 2 weeks now.
With no charges pressed or no accusations. They only want to verify that he is taken care of by someone.

The first problem was that, for more than a week, there was nobody available at the Ministerio de la Familia. When finally somebody showed up, she didn't show any interest to help out Jose Angel.

The Directora, Doña Esperanza, has been so good to try different ways to get Jose Angel back to his family.
The next step is, wait until the person in charge comes back from her vacation in an institution in Masaya, next week. Once there, it might be easier for Jose Angel to be a free man again.
Eynar asked the secretary to call the center in Managua, but a storm the night before had ruined the telephone system.

Luckily, Jose Angel understands now that he has to behave in order to be helped.
The first couple of days he was the rebellion of the HAC!
This has changed for the better! Respect brings respect!!

And... he likes the food:
Corn flakes in the morning with milk and bananas!
Fish with a nice salad for lunch.
Good food!!! So much the better...

When we got there, we planned a nice afternoon with some games that we had brought, and some snacks and soda...
But, because Jose Angel had been behaving well all week, he and a bunch of other well behaved boys and girls were invited to Burger King in MetroCentro in Managua by a group of visitors.

And, although we met a 12 year old girl that had been living in a park in a rough neighborhood in Managua for several years, where she got raped by drug addicts every single day...
She changed from a animal like being that didn't speak to a nice, talkative young lady thanks to the HAC!

We left with a good feeling...
He's in good hands!!!

Keep your fingers crossed, and hopefully this coming week Jose Angel can finally return home...
