Hi everybody...
I noticed that you've been checking out this blog while I was away. Sorry for the delay, there was just so much to do that needed to be taken care of.
But here we are, with a picture that I took this morning. Doña Esperanza was cooking her lovely food... the guys were all waiting for it to get ready.
And thanks to the generous donation of Paulo from Spain, I was able to double today's meals!
So a lot of new happy faces!
Little Moises,in the white shirt, was delighted he could eat the first complete meal in a long, long time.
He couldn't even remember when that was, being used to eat the left overs in La Calzada Street that the tourists leave behind on their plates.
The people in charge, during my absence, did a marvelous job. But of course everybody was ever so glad to see me again after months of being away. The warmth and friendship that you get from these street children is just amazing. And to show their gratitude for the extra meals, they made a sign for Paulo to thank him for them. It was a very happy moment for everybody...
These Saturday morning meals are so important.
It is the one thing these kids are so much looking forward to.
If I were a street kid, I would love to be able to have a decent meal once in a while as well!
So... to everybody who help to make this possible, in the name of Granada's Chavalos:
"THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP"
