Behind the scene...

There is all this... the hot meals for the Chavalos...
The medical attention, trips to the hospital, ...
Clothing, flip flops, ...

But there's also so much else going on that you might find interesting.

One person, Frank from L.A., has adopted 4 brothers.
Not really, of course, but financially.
He makes sure that they can all go to school, the oldest is going to University and is taking English classes on Saturday.
He's so smart that it would be a shame to not let him study.
His brothers also love to go to school.
It just wouldn't be possible without the help of Frank.

Daniel from L.A. is helping several families with his donations.
Most of his help goes to food for these families, but he's also supporting studies for some students.

Steven from New Jersey was here on an extended trip, and during his stay here, he constructed a nice house with materials that he had bought, and with his own hands and some borrowed machinery. So one more family got a very nice upgrade to a better house. (the previous place could hardly be called a house!)

And then there is another Daniel, from Montreal, this time.
Although he's still got many well filled years ahead of him, he's already sharing his belongings with those whom need them more than he does. It was his second year here in Nicaragua. This year he bought two beautiful brick houses, and remodeled them to up to date standards. Nice tiles, beautiful bathrooms, garden, ...
He made several families happy as well.
One of these families has a daughter with the Down Syndrome, and for the first time ever, they are living in a beautiful house with an inside bathroom, instead of a wooden shack that was ready to collapse.

Of course, not everybody can help like this.
But if you do what you can, that is plenty!
