Still no luck ...

I just got back from a visit to Jose Angel's old school here just outside of the city center of Granada.
He's going to college now in Masaya.
In order to get classes in Masaya, he needed to bring a document from his old school to proove that he really had been going to school there.
Well... as you know from a previous post it wasn't easy to get hold of the paper.
So me and him took a cab to the old school.
Nobody there could help us.
We then walked over to his old teacher, Profesora Nicolas.
She told us the same thing as always... she will give a call when she has more news.
The papers were ready, she said, Doña Sofia only needed to put a signature under it.
But the papers are in the Ministerio de Educacion.
I do hope that all this is true and that the piece of paper will turn up soon.
God only knows if and when we will finally get hold of the paper.

On our way back, our cabby noticed a young mother with her 18 month old baby walking in the streets.
Spontaniously, he offered her a free ride to the city center.
People don't have a lot, but most have a big heart, often I've noticed that.
I've never heard anybody do this in Europe or the States.
A very nice gesture indeed!
