Alexander, Christmas, ...

Alexander came by to show off his new flip flops.
He's very proud of them because he partly paid for them himself.

We got some help out of Argentina to help us organize an extra day of serving hot meals to the Street children of Granada around Christmas.
Thank you Clark!! About 20 extra kids will be able to enjoy Doña Esperanza's Christmas cooking on that day!

I don't know at all what is going on, but today, the Granada Police came by the hotel to check all our permits. (they are always up to date).
But they took pictures from the outside and the inside of the hotel, and of all Nicaraguans present.
Are we in for a surprise, I wonder.
Or is it standard procedure in all the hotels of the city of Granada?
I have the policeman's number and will give him a call tomorrow to check what is going on.

Ever since we opened, stories have been going round.
One being even more creative than the other.
I don't know if it's funny or scary.
But it must be strange for locals to see that we are giving away food, medicine, clothing, ... for free.
Here, nobody gives away anything for free!
The Ingeniero from City Hall comes by almost weekly to pick up the money for the next stage of the repair of the Parque Central commodities. (If I use wrong vocabulary, please let me know!).
The lamp posts have been repaired, the park benches, the two pumps of the fountain, the toilets will be next, etc, ...

The must think that we are filthy rich, crazy, or sell drugs to pay for all this!
Anyway, ... Will be continued, I'm sure!
