Alexander is starting classes today. Better late than never!
We still had a big supply of pens and pencils and other stuff that might come in handy.
Congratulations, Alexander!
One of the Chavalos that I hadn't seen in almost a year turned up again.
He was in real bad shape when I last saw him.
Underfed, and he could hardly walk because of glue use.
To be honest, I hardly recognized him when he showed up.
He was nice and clean, and he told me that he hadn't sniffed glue in about a year.
If that isn't good news! He only came by to let me know that he was doing fine and lives in Chontales right now.
He asked for a couple of bucks to buy a box of chewing gum to earn the money for his trip back, which I gladly gave him.
Congratulations to you too, and keep up with your success!!
He told me that he would come back in another year... well, I hope so.
Still no news from customs. One would expect customs not to delay charity goods.
What can be so difficult to release a couple of boxes of school supplies and flip flops!
Not only the import taxes are a bummer, but in the meanwhile, my phone bill is running up as well!
Nicaragua avanza! Yeah right...
