Diego Manuel just came by to say thank you in person.
He had brought his daughter, Alondra, whom he hadn't seen in over three weeks.
The hospital doesn't allow kids to visit in the rooms.
And Diego couldn't leave the room for three weeks.
But now, father and daughter are reunited again, and you can see on the picture that they are both happy!
At the moment, he is wearing a strong bandage, until the swelling goes down. Then, he'll receive a cast. Around the 23rd of September, when they take the stitchings out.
His left leg was broken on two places, so it was a complicated operation. The metal plate will always stay in place.
For three weeks, he couldn't move around on his bed. When he tried to turn on one side, the pain just got too much.
Imagine being on a bed in the same position for over three weeks!
In an 8 person room, all sick, operated on people.
His bum and arms still hurt from all the injections that he had.
And he was ever so glad to be able to wash himself at the sink after getting "BaƱos Rusos" (sponge baths) from a nurse all the time.
Even his school wants to do a little effort by tutoring him with extra classes.
They are not free, but at least, this way, he won't loose a full year.
Again. Diego Manuel says THANK YOU VERY MUCH to everybody who thought of him and helped him out during these hard times.
