Oh happy day!

Turns out that Jose Angel indeed spent three days in jail!
Not because of the purse theft... Because some old lady didn't like the kids sitting on the pavement in front of her house! So, she called the police and had them removed. The police took 8 kids to jail where they spent 3 horrible days.
Can you imagine what that must be like for a fourteen year old boy to share a cell with 10 other people.
Bad food and only a little of it, no toilet (just a hole in the floor in one corner of the cell), concrete beds with no sheets or pillows, ...

The good news is... he's a free man now! He had a nice, long shower, put on his new clothes and the watch that he got!
He treated himself to a very nice meal.
After that, Jose Angel went to the college where Marvin attends classes. Possibly they will accept Jose Angel without the paperwork that is required at other schools.

I gave him some home made chile con carne when he got back from college with Marvin. While he was eating, he was saying :

I'm going to study and study until I reach the finish! And the nice thing is that I can attend college AND go to art classes because the hours permit me to do so! Who would have thought a month ago that I ever would have the chance to go back to school! And now I can do even more than I hoped for... draw, which I love to do!

Great kid... instead of sitting in a corner, sobbing about how bad it was in jail, he only thinks ahead about the good things that are to come! His dad will be proud of him ;-)

Art fans... get his work NOW, while you still can afford it!
