Busy day...

It was a busy day today...

Fliki came by with a huge gash in his forehead.
He had tripped and fallen, and arrived here at the door covered in blood.
A trip to the hospital and 5 stitches took care if that.

The waiter of the local Chinese restaurant had heard about the Chavalos project, and wondered if he could have a $12.50 to take his little girl to a Doctor.
He wanted to sell me some of his belongings in order to get the money together.
He couldn't believe his ears when I told him that he didn't have to pay it back or anything.
Just now he came by with the moped to bring me some Chinese food as his way to say "thanks". Unnecessary, but very attentive.

Bosco's little girl, Cindy, had been having diarrhea and problems with vomiting for several days. She's hardly a year old, but lost so much weight that I didn't even recognize her. Thanks to you guys out there he could take his little treasure to a good doctor to see what was going on. In the free hospital they didn't seem to be able to help.
I just called Bosco... He'd gotten the medication, Cindy already received her first shot, the vomiting had stopped, and Cindy seemed to be feeling a lot more comfortable.

AND, We just received another donation from Cristina: THANK YOU
It will be used wisely to help the Chavalos!!

By the way, tomorrow after the hot meals, the Granada Boxing School is giving a free demonstration to attract new members to their club. Membership is free, and I'm sure that there will be several Chavalos who'll be more than interested to join!
