Guanabana

Doña Esperanza came by today to pick up the payment for tomorrows hot meals for the Chavalos.
She brought me this exotic fruit called guanabana.
I told her she needn't bring me things every week, but that's what she's like.
Friendly, optimistic and generous!
Anyway, I'd never eaten one and I have to say they look odd, but they are ever so delicious!
Unfortunately she also brought me some bad news...
Two of the Chavalos had been behaving very badly.
She had already given them a couple of warnings.
Everybody knows that they aren't very well educated, who would have done it, living in the streets.
And sniffing glue makes them act like mindless zombies at times.
Francisco & Ernesto had their chances to prove that they deserved Doña Esperanza's good food, but they messed it up by throwing rocks at her. Not Done!
Anyway, two new people stepped in and get a shot at it now.
It seems that there are more and more girls in the streets now as well.
Their number has always stayed the same, but lately I see more and more abandoned girls, sadly enough.
Before long they will be selling their bodies for a hot dog or a dollar.
The lady from Mi Familia (Child Care) told me this herself.
It might change if the economy gets better, but it doesn't look like it.
The President of the people whom promised Zero Hunger and Zero Poverty hasn't done anything positive so far. He did buy huge amounts of shares for himself though, from the biggest companies so that even after he will no longer be in charge, he will still get a nice income from the electricity company, the seed bank (all seeds from all farmers have to be bought here as they are genetically altered), etc, ...
So he's doing fine!
Luckily there are people like Doña Esperanza whom think about others as well!
