Doña Esperanza has been taken into the hospital.
She had accute appendicitis, so she needed to be admitted urgently.
She has never even mentioned it, but apparently Doña Esperanza is a diabetic.
This complicated the surgery, of course.
It was even impossible to stitch up the wound they had to make to remove her appendix.
So, yesterday, Doña Esperanza sent over a girl from the market that came to visit her at the hospital.
Doña Esperanza had asked her to drop by here to let us know that the distribution of the Saturday meals for the Chavalos was not in danger whatsoever.
She had everything taken care off!
So instead of worrying about her health, the complications and the drainage that must keep her wound clean until it heals, her only worry was the Chavalos, and their meals!
I hear that she would need some medication to speed up the healing.
They haven't let me know yet how much it would be, but I will get back to you as soon as I find out!
For the meantime, let us hope that Doña Esperanza (or "Lady Hope") will get well soon!!!
