The kids are still in prison, and it seems that they will be there for another week.
Nobody knows the official reason, still.
Various rumors are going round...
Some say the kids have to work and remove weeds, ...
Others say that some high ranked people are in town and they don't want them to see the street children.
Fact is... some are as young as 7 years old.
They sleep in concrete cells with concrete bunks and a hole in the floor as a toilet. Of course, there is no privacy when they have to go.
The place is loaded with mosquitoes.
They don't even have blankets to cover and protect them.
For breakfast, they get a spoonful of rice and beans in their hands. Very hygienic!
It makes you wonder why this all is possible... since last Friday.
And according to one of the boy's brother, they won't be released until next week.
The smallest ones are all together in one cell.
That probably makes it all legal to keep them locked up, I suppose.
Tomorrow morning, a mother of one of the boys is going to try to find out what exactly is going on with her son, whom is a minor as well.
I still had some T-shirts in my box to give to the kids so that they at least have a change (some) of clothes.
Some of the shirts were XXL, maybe they can use these as a blanket for the smallest.
Some mothers are going to go to the court tomorrow morning to try to get news on their kids.
No charges have been pressed so far.
Maybe by tomorrow noon, we will know more.
The lawyer called me today about the missing school paper.
It is on the move, but will still take some more days.
Things move here, only not very fast, it seems.
But the lawyer went to the school himself to get the necessary information, and is going to the Ministry of Education next to get the papers.
Please do burn a candle or so, if it doesn't help, it won't harm either!
Take care, and see you soon.
