Locked up... again!

One of the street children got into problems with the police.
Later that night (yesterday) a bunch of cops raided the neighborhood where the chavalos usually hang out.
They were beaten up by those cops with their black sticks.
I saw the bumps and bruises on their arm from defending themselves, but also on their heads and the rest of their body.
I wonder why all this violence was necessary, especially because they were only after Evin.
6 were taken to the station, where several of them had to sweep floors, mop and clean the whole place up, including outside, where it reeked of urine.

This morning I received this picture of Jose Angel that was taken less than a year ago (January).
He looks a lot different than on the picture you see below, that was taken on Wednesday.

(thanks James, for sharing it with us)

As you know, he likes very much to draw, paint and create art.
Here is a picture that he made last week...
John, whom brought medication earlier this week, brought him some sketching crayons, art paper and markers...
I bet that will keep him busy for some hours!

One more thing that I should put on the list of items to bring are small blankets. The size you find on airplanes (or used to find!).
Although this is a tropical place, nights can be quite chilly here. They also help very well against mosquito bites!

Thanks for visiting and see you soon!
