Easy victims...

I don't like to report stuff like this, but still it happens, too often, I'm affraid.
Several of the children were beaten up in Diriomo.
They went along on a (free) bus ride for a political meeting.
(next year there are presidential elections, and the children have nothing else to do).
Before the had the chance to get back on the bus, at the end of the meeting, they were taken to the police station.
Because they resisted, knowing what goes on there, the tried to escape, but were badly beaten by the fists of the cops.
I saw their swollen up jaws and bruises...
Because there were no accusations, they were released hours later.
But not before the cops stole the 60 cordobas that they had earned earlier that day by making grass hoppers out of palm leaves!
So much for trust in the law...
In order to get back to Granada, they had to walk for three hours, the next morning.

2 boys here in Granada were hit quite hard with the backsides of a couple of cop's guns.
They had wounds, cuts and bruises on their heads and arms.
Easy targets ...
There should be some Child care that actually listens available for these kids.

Alexander had been asking for pain killers for his toothache for several days.
Today, he finally went to the hospital where they had to extract a tooth.
Tomorrow he needs to go  back for a couple of fillings.
16 is a bit young to have teeth pulled, but I suppose that is the result of not having toothbrushes and toothpaste.
