Saturday update...

Doña Esperanza had a busy day today. She was a very happy lady!
Lots of happy, smiling faces from the Chavalos.

Bad news for many of the street kids that are making and selling pulseras, bracelets.
Yesterday, Augusto Cesar wanted to enter the market with some hand made bracelets.
Selling these is double rewarding...
He loves it when people like and adore his work, and besides, it earns his family a little extra to buy rice, beans, cheese, oil, ...
Well anyway, they didn't allow him to sell anything.
According to a new law, everybody needs a sellers card.
We're looking into it how much it will cost, and if one needs a Cedula (id-card).
He's only 15, and one can only get one from 18.
We'll see how it goes.
Yet another way to complicate poor people making some extra cents.

Don't get me wrong, that is a good thing, but usually something happens when it is this calm!Knock on wood that it doesn't!

I haven't heard from anybody about the Fire Dpt things.
Maybe it isn't easy to get hold of (used) items, or maybe nobody has found the time yet to ask around.
I don't know. If anybody has an idea, do let me know. Thanks!
