They cleaned him up nicely at the hospital. I gave him the prescribed antibiotics, pain relievers and ointment to take care of the wound.
We had everything in our "Botekin". Thank you for bringing the medication, and for your support so that we can keep on helping the Chavalos.
Yesterday, it was exactly a year ago that Eynar of 21 drowned in the Ocean near San Juan del Sur. How time flies, and how we miss him still. Such a good brother, student, friend... What a loss.He was the first of three young men whom all died within a week.
Next was Davidcito. He finally felt that he had accomplished something. Getting some education, Learning English and finding a steady job. His happiness didn't last long though. After a couple of months, he was shot through the head during a robbery.
The third boy who lost his life was Juan Carlos. He came by twice a day for some food. A gentleman from Palm Springs was sponsoring him. He made sure that Juan Carlos never went hungry, and that he could attend classes. He drowned here in Lago Cocibolca when he went for a swim with his buddies.
Gone, but not forgotten.
I know it sounds silly writing this here with all this sad news, but this morning, one of "my" dogs died. Lula.
We still have to find out what the cause of death is.
Now we need some good news!
