There's not a lot to report this week. Except maybe that we haven't had electricity for a week and a half during office hours. There had been a small fire in the market because everybody was stealing electricity from a thin wire that was meant for one shop!
Carlos, Maikol and Kristofer!New flip flops (Still from the Delaware donation!), new T-shirst (the last ones from Global Heroes) and a couple of coupons to get their first hot meals!!
We have checked the names on the list of Chavalos that behave and adapted here and there.
Some of the kids have passed away, some moved to other cities, ...
Thanks to some recent donations (thank you Dave, James, ...) we are able to add 5 more children to the list.
Actually, there are 2 old men on there as well. One has been living in the streets of Granada for over 30 years.
One of the new kids got his plate of food from Doña Esperanza's food stand and asked 5 Cordoba from another street kid if he wanted to share his plate. The other street kids reported it immediately to me. I didn't know if I had to be angry or give him a prize for business minded thinking. It made me smile. 10 minutes later, that boy came here to apologize about him charging money for food. And he wasn't planning on buying glue with it, he added!
