Today is the first day with the new list of Chavalos.
Several are no longer around for all different kinds of reasons.
A bunch of new children, and a couple of old people are on the list now and just have had their first meal.
A couple of the kids that were banned for a while for behaving badly are back on.
They have proven over the last couple of months that they do know how to behave!
Little Harold and Evin came by to say thank you just now... always nice to hear that they appreciate it.
One of our guests took a picture yesterday of one of the street kids sleeping.
He is a teacher in Florida and wanted to show his pupils that, although they are complaining a lot about everything, they should be thankful for what they have.
Here in Nicaragua, many 16 year olds have no idea what an mp3 player is.
I bet there are not many kids in the States, Canada or Europe that don't have one!
You know something... living here for several years one doesn't even notice these situations any more.
They are a part of ones daily life.
It is nice that once in a while someone reminds me of these things.
It makes me appreciate smaller things more as well!
Keep on supporting the Chavalos and keep reading their blog.
Have a nice day and see you soon!
