Thank you...

We received various donations from Europe and the United States over the last couple of days.
Thank you, John, Hans, James, ...
We got several pairs of flip flops, some T-shirts and boxer shorts on the market this morning.
Of course, the bars of left over soap from the hotel are still popular.
We also got a new supply of shoe polish for Evin.
Evin, by the way, was kicked of the list almost a year ago for bad behavior.
He has been doing very well lately and since a couple of week, he can enjoy Doña Esperanza's cooking again!
It pays to behave.

The last pairs of left behind sports shoes have been handed out to the Chavalos.
One guy complained that his one shoe was damaged!
For less than a dollar, we had it stitched, and it looks like new now.
The kid just came by to show me his "new" New Balance sneakers.
He told me that he will store them at a ladies' house in the evening so that they don't get stolen during the night.
As you can imagine, he is extremely proud of his sneakers.
It doesn't matter at all that they were dumped by someone in a gym locker room!

It sure feels good to see them smile once in a while!
