Los Pipitos

Hi everybody...
I promised Elvis, the guy who has been coming to fumigate the hotel for the past 5 years to put some information on the blog about Los Pipitos.
Only today, I found out that he is very involved in volunteering for an organization that helps integrate special needs children (age 0 to 18) in society. His younger brother is severely handicapped, so he understands the problems that can arise. Many families have problems as it is, and having a needy child can be just too much. Elvis is counseling these parents, trying to convince them not to sit at home being sad, but get involved in all kinds of activities so that their children get integrated, do activities like making music, doing sports, make art, ...
Recently, they had to move out of the building where they were for the last couple of years. They have to start from zero again. The logo of Los Pipitos (the little children) is a supporting hand (could be yours), holding a family (the flower) and one of the leaves is blank. Blue is the color of amistad, friendship.

There are about a 150 kids here in the Granada chapter. Los Pipitos does not receive any government funds and relies solely on donations, and the selfless work of volunteers, many of whom are Nicaraguans who have very little income.
