Today, we distributed all the items that we had been gathering over the last couple of months.Literally hundreds of items of clothing, flip-flops, socks, backpacks, sports equipment, etc... were given to the pupils and the neighbors of the little school in one of the poorest areas of Granada.

After everybody got their part, there were still several boxes left with items to be used in the school.Loads of notebooks, hundreds of pens, tape, sharpeners, glue, ...
Enough to keep the children busy for a long while.
Enjoy the pictures that we took.
In the background, you can see the school in one picture, some of the humble houses in another.
The pink curtains you see in the front garden is the bathroom of that family.

A boy in one of the pictures is wearing a baseball glove as a protection for the sun.
It is so old that it is almost falling apart.
If you happen to know a sports team with used baseball gloves, bats or any other items (used socks, uniforms, ...) that need replacement, and you happen to come this way... please do bring them. Especially baseballs. They can't afford them here and make their own out of old flip flops that they glue together!
There are several children's centers that would be delighted to get your old used sports equipment and gear: Jesus Amigos, Escuela numero Uno, ..
It doesn't take a whole lot to make a lot of children happy!
