Ana Maria came by again this morning. At first. I thought that it was to show me her new flip-flops from a couple of days ago.
I was surprised when she told me that her sister, Carla, had given light! (dar Luz, as they say here).
Yes, La Carlita is you young mother now.
The reason why Ana Maria came by was to ask if she could get some money for diapers.
Giving birth should anyone make feel happy, but I always feel sorry for the poor baby that undoubtedly will be plucked from the streets by La Familia, and right they are.
No baby should grow up not knowing if there is money for food or diapers, or if there will be a dry place to sleep that night.
It will not grow normally and it will get sick constantly, like a lot of kids do here, even the ones living in house, if it will grow up in the streets of Granada.
It is a healthy boy, they haven't got a name yet.
Whatever happens, I do hope that the son will get a better chance in life as his parents, I really do.
